Hello,

I've built a 600V power supply, and I want to scope it to make sure it's working right.
Is there anything I need to be aware of before I put my osciliscope on it?

I've heard that there are these things called high-voltage probes. What are they?

The do 2 things

1 ... they drop the voltage by a set amount say divide by 10 or say 100 so that the scope can display the voltage without being damaged

2 ... the probes are designed/manufactured in such a way that it gives protection to the user from HV electric shock
