Johnny/Solar Flare,
This is largely just a "Proof-of-Concept" project, but the end-goal is to
fly 3 to 4 units each producing 500W (by next year), which is not that
unrealistic once I work out all the basics...
Solar Flare, I like the idea of the "Growler" and will have to try that ...
it sounds like a split transformer, where the test coil is acts as the
secondary...
I was unsure about your description on the opposing pole or focussed Flux
idea, I'll re-read it to see if I can "Get-it"...
After much consideration and review of reply's from the "Otherpower.Com"
Forum... I have to admit that as I have the Rotor currently arranged, I'll
never get the kind of power I'm after out of this unit (approx 100W)...
The proper Mag/Coil arrangement appears to be Pole - Space - Pole ...
arranged N - S - N ... with the coil leg width being equal to the "Space"
between magnetic poles, the coil center or core equal to the width of the
pole, and the coil height equal to the Pole Height...
This is the tried and true method that many others have had success with...
I was trying to avoid cutting the Magnets in half to seperate the poles...
and in the process conclusively proven that they DO Have to be seperated.
