Hey,

I'm looking for a switch which could cut off multiple signal wires when needed. Would like to accomplish this task with single button, so DIP switch with multiple buttons is not really a solution

I already own this one: http://www.ebay.ie/itm/FREEPOST-X-5...596237?hash=item33a0f2c2cd:g:Vv8AAOSwBLlVLAi3, but I think it's not what I need as continuity wasn't correct when I checked it with multimeter (at least not in the way as I would expect).

If I'm not clear enough, here is a picture what I want (when ON: all signals must pass through, OFF - None):

If anyone could give me a name for this kind of switch that would be really great!

Thanks

What you have described pictorially is a triple pole single throw switch. This may be abbreviated as 3PST.

When you start looking at large numbers of poles, rotary switches or custom push button switches tend to be more common than toggle switches.

What kind of switch action do your want - alternate action (push on/push off), toggle, rocker, etc.? Many distributors and surplus stores have 3-pole and 4-pole toggle switches made by C&K, E-Switch, Also, etc. You probably will find double-throw switches more common. That's ok, just ignore the outputs you don't need.
