Hey Everyone!!

I have some questions about pcb:Has any one ever used Elecrow to make their PCBs? If so what was there quality like? How much bigger should I make the drill hole than the components pin?Whats the best and cleanest way to cut PCBs?
Thanks for the help .

Hello. I have never used Elecrow so I can't comment. The hole size should be between 0.2 mm and 0.4 mm greater than the lead diameter. This is for levels C to A respectively of the IPC standard.

I have used Elecrow 40 times in the past 9 months.

Their boards are absolutely perfect. Not a single mistake.

They charge $25.00 for 10 to 12 panels 100mm x 100mm, double sided HASL, silk screen .
Always keep your boards to a modular size of 100mm x 100mm and cut them yourself if you have 5 boards on a panel. Allow 70 thou between boards. If you want a bigger board, simply stack 2 x 100mm x 100mm
Cut them with a hax saw and lininsh the edges. Sand to the white line.
The holes are PTH and are 2 thou less than drilled size. If you make it size-for-size, the component will not fall out. This applies to usb sockets, switches etc where the pins are sturdy
For component pins I use different sizes depending on resistor, power diode, switch wires, IC sockets, etc
All the sizes are tied to the component so that when you place a component; the land size, spacing of the pins and drill size, comes too.
When you make a board, you simply pull-apart a previous board. You don't start from scratch.
I only use software where you do all the work.
There is no frustration and the program never FALLS OVER.
