I am attempting to convert an old Tango 2.11 PCB design into Protel
99SE and am having some difficulties reading the native .PCB file. I'm
able to import the Tango .PCB file into PCAD 2000 without any problem,
but can't seem to get from PCAD to Protel. I've tried exportting from
PCAD to both dxf and pdif file formats wth no success with importing
these into Protel. I read somewhere that it may be necessary to export
from Tango to ascii then import into Protel.

Has anyone gone though this exercise with any luck?

TIA,
Dan

I did that once and I remember it being qute simple.
But you need ascii for that, not binary.

It turns out that the Tango file I have is in ascii, not binary.
However, it will not load into Protel for some reason.
