TEC1-12706 Peltier module

I have a small oven using a TEC1-12706 Peltier module.

- 12V supply
- module is 3A (~36W)
- heating is very slow (30°C to 35°C takes ~23 minutes)
- good thermal contact (thermal paste applied)
- fan working, cold side is cold

Is the issue simply insufficient power, or could it be thermal transfer?

Should I switch to a 6A module or resistive heater?

Hello,

The datasheet shows an 60 watt peltier element.
Driving with 36 watt will give you a slow reaction.
