Toshiba TV/DVD

I watched a video on the DVD mode of the TV. When it was finished I ejected the disc and tried with the Toshiba remote to get back to TV mode. It is stuck on the blue opening site of the DVD mode. On the remote I go to INPUT and select TV: nothing happens. I've tried turning the set off for 20 min. hoping it would reboot in TV mode; no soap. Help.

are you sure the remote is working ? maybe the input button is not working. If it is an IR remote you can check it's function easily by pointing the IR led towards your cellphones camera while on camera mode and watch for light emmissions when pressing a button on the remote.

Or maybe the batteries in the remote need to be replaced?

If I bump one of my remotes or set it down hard, sometimes the batteries get dislodged.
If you haven't already, open the battery compartment and (if they're good batteries), reseat them and see if
it starts working again.
