Transferring recording from digital recorder to PC ( CD )

I need to transfer a recording from one of the inexpensive personal
digital recoders to CD. The only out put on the recorder is an
earphone jack . Which is the best input for proper impedance ( mic
or line in ) on my PC sound card to use and any other tips on this
are appreaciated .

Use Line in on the sound card. The earphone level from the
recorder will be too high for the Mic input.
