water softner clock timer display blank

My water softner digital clock timer display is blank. The transformer is supplying voltage to the circuit board. I unplugged/plugged and wiggled the multi-connector with no result.

It's only been in operation a few years and a new timer looks to be about $150.

How do you know there's power to the board?

I put volt meter probes on the push on connectors.
