Is there a material I could put an ioniser inside of that would filter out any small amount of ozone but allow all the ions to pass?

This may be my ignorance, but no.

An 'ion' and Ozone are so incredibly tiny that you can't just filter one out. Additionally, an 'ion' refers to the state of an atom or molecule with a missing or additional electron.

There may be a method to do it, but I'm sure it's more than simply putting a cloth over top.

Ok thanks, I read that ions last longer than ozone (although still not very long). So I guess the solution is the distance it is placed away. Although I'm not sure how to work it out so I'm just putting it on the edge of the room.
