Hello!
First off, I know nothing about electronics. I'm here to ask if my broken product (Akai mpk49) is worth sending into repair, or if I should just order a new PCB.

The USB port on my MPK49 was jammed in, and it is now broken. The issue though is (as seen in the pictures) it also took out the two little black rectangles (transducers?) that were behind the USB port - just next to where it says C4.

I can't find those little black rectangles, but I figure a tech would have some. The thing is, I don't need the USB port, I can just use an AC adaptor to power the device, but I do need those little black rectangles fixed.

Is That an easy/inexpensive job?
Hopefully this was clear
Thanks in advance for the help

It would appear that the components in question are R1 & C4. R2 (0Ω) looks like it was injured too but it's probably OK. Unfortunately, unless one of our member's is familiar with this board it's unlikely that anyone here will know the values of them. Have you
Googled for a schematic?

I'll have to send an email to Akai to see if I can get ahold of a schematic.

If I do get ahold of them and of the parts needed, is this something a local electronics repair centre could easily fix?

Those are (SMD) surface mount components. Pray that the guy has good eyes and a steady hand. Not everyone has the soldering skills needed with SMD.

Actually, I'm much steadier in that state than after the gallon of morning coffee I drink. Though, I do stay out of my wood / metal shop in that state. ;)
