Power Resistors Value

I got these at work as they were discarding them. I was wondering if they have any real value. They are GE IC9033B4F2 Wirewound, 8.5 ohms. Never used.

They resemble regenerative motor braking resistors around 1-2Kw? Especially as no voltage is shown.
Or could be elements, if that is Nichrome.

Yes. And you could connect the two in parallel for a 4.25 ohm load. Dual voice coils!!!!!

but seriously, the OP should be trying to sell them to some one in the high power audio game

Google brings up that one purpose is grid resistors and one use is in motor speed controllers as in wound rotor motor rpm control on cranes etc, a once very common method.
