Hello everyone!

My name is Derek, I'm from Harleysville PA, USA. I am in my first year of the "real world," I graduated from Penn State in May 2016 with a B.S. in chemistry. I learned what I know (whether that's a lot or a little, not for me to say) about electronics when I took a chemical instrumentation course at Penn State. I learned a lot about RC filters, BJT's, MOSFET's and op-amps during this course.

I am here for a little help with a motorcycle turn signal project, which I am drafting in the projects section :)

P.S. I have no idea where this avatar came from, it must be from my gmail haha

hey Derek
welcome to the forums :)

I graduated from Penn State in May 2016 with a B.S. in chemistry.

I assume you mean a BSc ... Bachelor of Science ? ;)

chemistry, I have always enjoyed, but from a theory point of view it wasn't my strong suite
which was a little unfortunate as it made my BSc in geology a little difficult

Haha, we denote Bachelor of Science as B.S. in the US.

Sorry to hear chem made your BSc in geology a little difficult. I've heard that about a lot of majors that require chem courses. I found that I loved it when I was studying mechanical engineering and had to take chem as a prerequisite. For most people this made their first year harder, but I found it to be more interesting and I found all the mechanical engineering equations to be too boring, so I switched.
