A day without astronomy is like...overcast?
yup, and usually lasts around -3 weeks after buying new gear
but on the other hand, the day doesn't have to be under the stars.
editing captured astro images is great cloudy weather fill in time

Jack: "I'm worried that our dog hasn't returned home in over six weeks.."
Vet: "Did you place an notice as I advised in the classifieds?"
Jack: "Yes, but no response so far".
Vet: "What details did you put?"
Jack: "Here, Boy!"
Jill: "Our budgie has be gone for a month, already".
Vet: "Maybe if you describe some features in a classified.."
Jill: "I did, but we're not sure what to include".
Vet: "Could it talk?" - "This may be unique to your bird".
Jill: "Yes. The only phrase he ever learnt was 'Here, kitty kitty' when we call our cat for supper".

DAMN ! . . . .it shore wasn't easy . . . . but I finally ended picking them all up inside of a tablespoon and then dumping them out two at a time upon a WHITE tablecloth, where I found that were 12 of those elusive little boogers .
That's ' soitanly being one optical confusion !

An old, tired-looking dog wandered into the yard. I could tell from his shock collar and well-fed belly that he had a home.
He followed me into the house, down the hall, and fell asleep on the couch. An hour later, he went to the door, and I let him out. The next day he was back, resumed his position on the couch and slept for an hour. This continued for several weeks. Curious, I pinned a note to his collar: 'Every afternoon your dog comes to my house for a nap.'
The next day he arrived with a different note pinned to his collar: 'He lives in a home with four children -- he's trying to catch up on his sleep. Can I come with him tomorrow?'
