Hi I'm looking for some help.
About a year ago I bought a pair of cordless drills with charger from Aldi.
They have worked surprisingly well but the charger has stopped working-It has power as the normally bright indicator light pulses very dimly. Input my multimeter on it and it is putting out about 2 volts.
I've tried everywhere to get a replacement but no joy.
The Austrian supplier says that a combination of Covid and sanctions against China have prevented re stocking.
I have 2 perfectly good drills and batteries but no power.
Any ideas ??

Can you open the charger and take some clear, close photos of the PCBs?.
It might be an obvious easy fix.

Do they still use Nickel Metal Hydride batteries in these drills?

We do.
Come on, resizing a few photos isn't that difficult, is it? I told you how to in your other post.

I wonder if there's a company or an individual out there who fixes these things.

This may be too late but I had a resolution for this same problem. I contacted Aldi. Through a very circuitous root I tracked down the manufacturer who eventually supplied a replacement. The problem is with a burnt out resistor in the circuit board. It is either not of sufficient current rating or is too close to other components, in any case it burnt out. Since the components are surface mounted they are difficult to replace. I will probably avoid cheap brands in the future.
