That falstad link shows that with a resistor,capacitor,diode system plus a low duty cycle oscillator I can turn one power supply to more than one power supply, but it has a ripple to it.
The oscillator charges the caps and then they release independantly and they are protected from back discharge with the diodes, so it seems like it should work to me at this stage.
I think it does short between the separate supplies for the instantaneous moment the oscillator is charging the caps, but its only for such a small time period you should get away with it.
So you just short the oscillator to the caps is the best with as least resistance possible.
