Hello everyone,

I'm new to this stuff and here is my issue I have a 2011 jag that I had to replace the tmps for the vehicle and the eeprom has the vin number on it. The chip is a high speed can bus tja1040 and I'm using the ch341a reader. Any help to tell me the right program to do the reading and writing of the chip would be great.

Thank you.

The tja1040 is a high speed can transceiver, not an EEPROM. There's nothing to read from or writr to it.
The CH341 programmer is suitable for 24Cxx serial EEproms only (if it's one of this kind).

To compliment the answer given above. TheTJA1040 transceiver converts the digital signals from the Control Area Network(CAN) controller into the differential signals used on the CAN bus. It also converts the differential signals back into digital signals for the controller
This System Node cannot be programmed.
