Hyundai seatbelt alarm bell.

Okay, I'm going to be using a Hyundai chime, with an amber LED and a flasher, in conjunction with an adjustable temperature switch to alert me before my engine over heats.

The chime has two bells but requires a momentary reverse current to strike the low tone bell.

Reverse current?
Why don’t you just strike the low tone bell with the stick?

Sorry for being so vague...

The maximum engine operating temperature is around 210 with 260 being where the temp gage redline threshold is, so I'll be adjusting the temperature switch to 225⁰F.

I found an adjustable flasher that will work so that I can alter the timing.

The original purpose of the chime, in a Hyundai Accent, is to make noise when the seatbelt isn't worn or, when the key is in the ignition with the driver's door open.

I'm repurposing said chime, in my 1993 C1500, to alert me before an engine overheat situation, at 230⁰F, because I get so focused on driving, that I forget to check the gages.

It's not likely to overheat but, that just means that I won't be complacent to the point that I ignore the chime if it does happen.

How do you check your speed then?.
Does your vehicle have an orange or red light when the temperature gets to a set high point?, if so, connect the chime to that.

Ps. Gauges on the dashboard are a part of driving a vehicle. You should train yourself to check them.
