Hi all,
Some digits are intermittent when pressed on the 6160 which is about a year old, if i push hard enough then it works. I went though this with my 6150 keypad and repaired it by cleaning the contacts on the PCB for the membrane to make contact. Now my 6160 keypad is exhibiting the same issue. The difference is the 6160 PCB layout is different . There is a speaker that is connected to the main PCB which can be easily unplugged and the other difference is that the LCD PCB is connected to the main PCB by what looks like a PCB pin connector mounted into the LCD PCB which connects to the main PCB. before i start to try to pry them apart I would like to know if anyone has the removal procedure to separate the two circuit boards so i my clean the contacts for the number buttons?
Thank you in advance,
Rich
