Hi. I have a parkside PLG 20 C3 charger that has completely stopped working.

Although it's brand new, i bought it on e-bay, so no warranty.
The charger is completely dead; no lights.
It was only my 2nd time using it!
Where can i start to diagnose the problem?

Thanks.

Start by checking the fuse in the plug.
Then you’ll have to open the unit to check the continuity of the cable.
While the unit is open (unplugged) check for a fuse on the PCB.
Take photos and upload them here.

Thank you for the reply Martaine. I had it apart last night and couldn't see anything obvious. I checked your suggestions today and all good. I plugged it into the wall to try one more time before taking it apart again and it lit up but only intermittently. It's usually kept in the barn but was in the house since last night. I thought is this just damp so put it on a rad for 10 minutes. Tried it just now and it's working perfectly. All lit and the fan whirring. Lesson learned there; i'm taking ALL my chargers indoors! Happy days. I appreciate that you took the time to help. I'm gonna stay on this forum for the day it isn't damp 🙂. Thank you again.

Thanks fnf.
If there are no lights at all, I would first check the power source and the fuse inside the charger if it has one. Did you try another outlet or cable to rule out a simple power issue?

@flash games: If there are no lights whatsoever, I’d start by checking the power source and any fuse inside the charger, if it has one. Have you tried using a different outlet or cable to rule out a basic power issue?

This is getting ridiculous.
Almost word for word identical to post #4.
