    Help a newbie out!!!!!

    Hi I need some help!! Im using a 9v battery to power a transformer but the transformer only works momentarily how can i make it work continuously(or however you spell it) or i need to change the power source to D or C batterys Thanks a lot your help will be appreciated :)
