DipTrace 5.3.5 is out. Free update for all 5.x users. Current build is 5.3.5.1.

Most of the work in this release went into performance:

- 2D and 3D rendering optimized for DirectX 11 and OpenGL 3.3: faster redraws and better visual quality.
- Real-time DRC and PCB Layout are noticeably more responsive on large, dense boards.

Import:

- Native Altium binary import: SchDoc, PcbDoc and PcbLib open directly, no ASCII export step needed.
- New CADint import for schematics, PCB layouts and libraries.
- Improved KiCad and EasyEDA import.

Also in this release:

- HTML Interactive BOM can include the schematic, with live cross-probing to the board, and works on mobile devices.
- Component database search now handles synonyms and spelling variations.
- New Component Text Autoplacer plugin: moves designators off pads, mask openings, component bodies and (optionally) vias, keeping each label next to its part. Built with the AI Plugin SDK, which is available to users.

The native Altium binary import is a particularly welcome addition. Removing the need for an intermediate ASCII export should simplify migration and preserve workflow efficiency.

The interactive BOM with schematic cross-probing sounds particularly useful for troubleshooting and assembly. Nice to see DipTrace continuing to improve!
