    Speaker capabilities of consumer products

There is also this option. I guess my question is about under powering the speakers. I know I have driven little transistor radio speakers with home radios, but they either didn't last long or got hot. Is that backwards incompatible... will the board get hot trying to drive these??? How would...

The older 1960's and 70's equipment were bomb proof, in that it was easy to add extra speakers to enhance the listening experience. How are the newer pieces? I have a nice projection TV, that is driving a set of 5" full range rounds at 10w and 8 ohms... What's a bit needy as an entertainment...

    Schematic question ...

Try dis.. Electricity always travels one way until it hits terminating resistance. Generally any resistance... Then it swaps direction. Any resistance is released as heat. So when the component is installed in series, it is generally accepted that one terminal is positive, and the other is...

Harmon Kardon hk570i Stereo receiver only plays on one side - grounding issue?

Along time ago, when electronic devices were incompatible with each other, an issue was found where one type of device caused a latching of another device because of un-balanced polarity in one or the other devices. For this reason, it is usually a good idea to use balanced input and output...
