    Typewriter LCD display repair

So I have messed around with LCD displays on a few occasions. Boat navigation displays, knot meters, depth sounders, LCD clocks, etc. The appearance of your display may indicate a voltage/current supply problem. You aren't getting enough of it to activate the segments/numerals on the display...

Delco Radio CDM Troubleshooting and Component Identification

There are companies that still work on these if you want to send it away. You just have to search for those companies. The ones for sale on Ebay are often times removed from junkyard vehicles and tested for performance. They are still available in a lot of cases.

    Tv oled not turn on

Ok. Not a problem. Your next step would then be removing the board from the TV, take very clear photos of the front and back sides of the board, and post them here for us to look at.

Kitchenaid KBMS1454SSS-3 Microwave control board troubleshoot & repair

Ok. I didn't know you had the ESR Meter. That makes things easier. You don't have to remove the cap from the board to check it with that device. You don't even have to remove one leg from the board, with the ESR Meter. Just keep proper polarity when checking the caps from the soldered side...

    Need help w/ home stereo

Send the unit you received from Amazon back to them and have them send you the same replacement. You can explain that the plug was not correct for the USA. They should do that for you without a problem. They obviously had one in a box that must have been misdirected to the USA and ended up in...

    Need help w/ home stereo

I didn't think it was confusing. To summarize, he had a Pioneer stereo receiver/amp in his garage that stopped working as it had been before. He used to use it to listen to IHeart Radio (a streaming radio service app in the US) when he plugged his cell phone into the USB plug in that stereo...

    Need help w/ home stereo

I think there may be some confusion as to what the OP is trying to accomplish. His garage stereo (in the USA) was in need of replacement and he wanted to simply replace it with another receiver deck. He ordered a replacement from Amazon and was sent a unit with a type G plug on the end. These...

    Need help w/ home stereo

The info was taken off of the Amazon website for Type G to Type B adapters. "INTERNATIONALLY COMPATIBLE: Our US to UK Plug Adapter are compatible with outlets in several countries, such as the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Bahrain, Belize, Botswana, Brunei, Cyprus, Dominica, England, Ghana...

    Tv oled not turn on

This is an older thread, but just making sure you have already tried the "soft reset procedure?" Here it is: Unplug from the wall. Leave it unplugged from the wall. Push and hold the power on button on the TV for 30-45 seconds. Let go of the power on button. Plug it back in, and see if it...

Kitchenaid KBMS1454SSS-3 Microwave control board troubleshoot & repair

One of the most common problems with a lot of circuit boards come from failing/failed capacitors. If it was me, I would check the rest of those that are on the board before doing anything else. Note, however, that a cap can often show a within tolerance farad reading on a tester, like the one...

    Need help w/ home stereo

I just looked at the same model amp you purchased from Amazon and it should have been sent to you with a standard US 110vac plug, if you ordered it and actually had it shipped to a US address. What you are showing us in the picture is clearly not the right plug for the USA and it shouldn't have...

Kitchenaid KBMS1454SSS-3 Microwave control board troubleshoot & repair

Which capacitors did you change, and why did you change three that tested good? What about the rest of them? Have you checked them? And are you using an "ESR Meter" on them while they are still on the board? You said "EMR Meter." Did you mean ESR? There are two similar medium sized caps...

    Replace Resistor on Oster Trimmer

A closer look shows what appears to be a broken wire. See the pic. Something caused that plastic shroud to shatter and come off. I do think this is a failed component. I think it was used as a mains line fuse and is shown on the board as LF (Line Fuse?), but it certainly does look like an...

    Replace Resistor on Oster Trimmer

Tried to delete this. It won't let me. Martaine has it all. Colors look like black, yellow, brown or black, and white. Looks like it is the mains line fuse (fusible resistor). What are the rest of the letters on that board? LF-03v????.

How to troubleshoot single dim bulb/socket on Delco radio pcb?

Ok. My initial thoughts were that the 9 volt battery may not have been strong enough to power the lights fully, based on the age or a possible used and therefore weaker battery. As if you may have taken it out of something else for this, if that makes sense. You can get a 9 volt voltage...

How to troubleshoot single dim bulb/socket on Delco radio pcb?

Have you tried putting the radio all the way back together and back into the vehicle yet?

How to troubleshoot single dim bulb/socket on Delco radio pcb?

OK. Thanks. The reason I didn't want you to do anything else is because I now think you have a current supply problem to the bulbs and I suspect that dim bulb may be the last one in the circuit. The ones before it are absorbing enough current to limit that last one in the circuit from glowing...
