    I like them but in the uk i can only find vallemen kits. companys that sell them = maplins, cpc, rs, they are very good but for one problem - maplins solder needs a higher temp which often damages the tracks.

    i think the link i posted is simpler because the CPU will have 3 variable. the sensor has a red/blue/green led and a red/blue/green variable but one reciver. when the blue led is lit, the ldr's reeding is added to Var blue, when the Green led is lit, the ldr's reeding is added to Var green...

    A simple to build one was made or lego mindstorms. goggle for lego color sensor it uses 4 led (transmitters) and one reciver. the leds are Red Green Blue and are mounted around the detector. each led is pulsed in sequence and the programming works out which is the corect color for the value...

    in theory 50 ohm isn't needed anymore because its for computer networks that use the coax cable system. and most moderen networks use cat 5 or 6 (rj45?) I say these connections are better for tvs then "phono" connections.
