    Old module does not work

I bought a '89 Sunbird GT for my wife's first car. She loved the turbo power and often said, '"Why is everybody so far behind?" The headlight doors worked fine for the many years that we had the car.

Forum Upgrade & Merging with Maker.pro

I have had Electronics Point in my forums group for years on my Windows 10 system, now it has changed into Maker Pro. I tried to change the Internet Shortcut from Electronics Point to Maker Pro but that does not work. I deleted the Electronics Point internet shortcut now how do I make a new...

Push-Pull Potentiometer Selection for Specific Electric Guitar Effects

Normal volume controls are connected as voltage dividers with the slider as the output feeding the amplifier input then A2 taper is used. The Rickenbaker wiring is backwards with the sliders shorting the input signals then I think the C2 taper is used and maybe also for the tone controls.

Push-Pull Potentiometer Selection for Specific Electric Guitar Effects

The pots have one of 3 "tapers". The schematic does not show the taper needed for volume or tone and your pot part number also does not show the taper number (A, BO or C2) that you ordered.

Op Amp how does the feedback factor works ?

The biasing of the + input of an opamp depends on the type of its power supply:

Difficulty finding the appropriate resistor with power calculation

Nobody needs a low current AC-DC power supply so they are not made and not available. Years ago some big and heavy 6V/300mA AC-DC power supplies were made expensively with a transformer. Today millions of 5V/2000mA AC-DC power supplies are made inexpensively for charging a phone. I bought a tiny...

Difficulty finding the appropriate resistor with power calculation

Guess what? Red LEDs are not 1.23V. Instead they are 1.8V to 2.1V when at about 15mA.

Difficulty finding the appropriate resistor with power calculation

What is missing is a schematic showing the power supply voltage and the forward voltages and wiring of the "multiplicity" of LEDs,.

    Audio cable vs. video cable?

A headset extender cable is probably not shielded because the audio amplifier output and the earphones are very low impedances. Video between the camera and receiver is probably fairly high impedance then an unshielded cable will pickup interference.

    Graphic equalizer

Electrolytic capacitors are used for power supply filters and for coupling low impedances. Ceramic capacitors are used for filtering and tuning radio frequencies and cause distortion when used for coupling audio. Plastic Film capacitors are used for coupling medium to high impedance audio for...

What gauge of power and speaker wire?

I guessed the efficiency. The datasheet shows that the heating is only 6W at 30W per channel, not the 12W I guessed. The actual heating will be much less unless continuous full power tones are played (acid rock?).

What gauge of power and speaker wire?

The upgraded new version of the Nobosound NS-10G "50W" amplifier uses the Texas instruments TPA3116 IC that produces 50W per channel into 8 ohm speakers with severe distortion using a 24V supply, or 30W per channel with reasonably low distortion. It can drive 4 ohm speakers with nearly double...

The emitter has a higher potential than base ! How?

Many You Tube videos have errors. The video WRONGLY says, "In the cutoff region, the emitter of the NPN transistor has a higher potential the base". In most circuits, a transistor is in the cutoff region when the base and emitter have the same potential. Most transistors have a maximum allowed...

    Pulsate 1.5v D cell battery

A 1.5V alkaline battery is 1.6V when new then its voltage slowly drops to below 0.8V as it is used. We do not know when your circuit will suddenly stop when the voltage becomes too low.

    Solar garden lamp repair

A modern solar garden light is still inexpensive but uses an IC to boost the voltage and sense darkness to turn on the light. The IC has a Schottky diode between the solar panel and the battery so that the solar panel does not discharge the battery at night. Old poor quality solar garden...

    Help with LED Circuit.

My neighbor has 5 flickering lanterns on a post in his front yard that look like a candle flickering in each one. Yesterday I bought a flickering solar garden lantern at The Dollar Store. Simple Waveform Generator Help

The old LM324 quad or LM358 dual opamp makes a mess of waveforms: 1) Lots of noise. 2) Crossover distortion on sine and triangle waves. 3) Low and distorted output level on frequencies above about 3kHz.
