    LOGIC GATES project

Hi Logan Its logic gates, dont bother about pin-numbers, i forgot to erase them! Just see them as logic gates. In reality its 3 IC:s, but they have more logic gates, the IC containing the NOT gate(usally called inverter) have 6 gates in the same IC, and the other 2 have 4 gates in each IC. You...

Looking for Old or Discontinued IC

Hi Siberia, Ante and hotwaterwizard Wasn't Texas Instrument's IC:s beginning with SN72xx OP-AMPs? I have a substitute list for them somewhere(The Texas Instruments Linear Handbook). The book is old, and some of these IC:s was substituted allready then. Its too late to look for that book now...

    diode info reqest

Hi Steven And what do that mean? European? Japanese? American? Shoulden't you test the forward voltage at different currents? //Staigen

    diode info reqest

Hi Steven Its hard to tell, are they European or Japanese? Where did you find them? You can put a small current throu them, and check the voltage between anode and cathode. Try 0.1, 1 and 10 mA. //Staigen

    Basic transmission concepts (Semi Urgent)

Hi there Cameron, welcome to this forum, its nice to have you here :) As far as i know, yes, db is just added. And db is always related to something. //Staigen

Looking for Old or Discontinued IC

Hi Siberia Its an old Texas Instrument IC, do you have any data on it, or a substitute for it? //Staigen

    Voltage level shifting

Hi Load resistor? What load resistor? There is no load resistor! Use 3 resistors, R1, R2 and R3. R1=R2=lets say 100K and R3=50K Connect one end of R1 to +5V and the other end to the -input of OP-amp. Connect one end of R2 to the -input of OP-amp too and the other end to output of OP-amp...

    Input Filter circuit design needed

Hi ray99mond Maybee its a mains noice filter you need? Sorry about the bad resolution of the pic, but it is taken out from a bigger one with copy and paste. //Staigen

    Voltage level shifting

Hi windoze killa and EdwardM There must be something wrong with the picture and the resistors here! R1=1K1? R2=1K R3=9K? R4=10K? Instead R1 should be 0(short), R2 omitted, R3=R4 And the IC an ideal rail to rail one, else there should be a resistor in the +input too(R3/2) //Staigen

    Problem Connecting to Site

Hi Anyone else that have problems reach E-Lab? We know Ante, Audioguru, me, Bjorn and a few more have or had problems. I figured out a way to be removed from the "APF:s block list" , but is there others that dont know how to? //Staigen

    LM317 Variable power supply

Hi Zeppelin Yes, i can, but i leave it up to you to figure out and tell us how it work! Hint, the forward drop over each 1N5401 is about 0.7V at full output. //Staigen

Hi there again wvengineer Its annoying when you cant reach E-Lab, it is somthing with E-Lab that appeal to me, that isn't at the other forums. Do you know your IP adress at home? //Staigen

Hi there wvengineer A list blocking IP-numbers do exist, i dont know who or what is creating it, or managing it, but it is there! Hey, Mixos and Moderators, do you know anything about "APF:s block list" ? I at least expect an answer from you. //Staigen

    Audio Mixing Desk

Hi Diarmuid A 40V CT @ 200VA for T1 is just fine, no need to rise the caps for that, but 10,000 uF caps will make the ripple less, always good, 40 Volts caps is fine here. For T2 you only need a 20 VA tranny, 50 Volt without CT is just fine here, and a cap of 4700 uF @ 80V or 100V is just fine...

3-5V DC @50mA from 230V AC without transformer

Hi nikhil arora Her you have your requested cirquit to get 3 to 5 Volt DC from 230 Volt AC without transformer, as a matter of fact, there is 2 of them, one with only positive output related to common, and one with both positive and negative output related to common. A little VARNING here...

    Audio Mixing Desk

Hi, i'm back If you look closely at rectifier 2 and its surrounding parts, you see that the CT of tranny 2 is not needed, no load is connected to it. By removing the CT connection and one of the filter caps you get lower ripple. The remaining filter cap must have a higher voltage rating thou...
