    RS232/485 & UART

Hello everyone, i hope you are all doing good ! I have question that will probably sound strange to you. A few years ago i made a circuit with a microcontroller that reads RS422/485 serial data passing through an RS485 to UART transceiver chip (in receiver mode) and an other circuit that reads...

Which Soldering iron should I get please?

What will it's use be ? I mean do you want to work on circuit boards or just solder wires ? I work mostly on PCB's and i bought this ATTEN SA-50 solder iron. It is a cheap one that can accept a variety of soldering tips to suit your needs and has a temperature control knob. Good value for money...

    Help with Diode

That's quite strange. What is a diode connected like that needed for ? To block current from flowing from the camera to the reverse light ? Not really. 2 Watts under 12V (car battery voltage) requires a diode with forward bias current capability of roughly 170mA. (I = P/V) So an 1N4007 Should...

How can fix 24v /80amps battery charger voltage drop while connect load-pls help

Welcome. Are you sure that the the fault lies within the charger itself ? Could it be that the battery you want to charge does not need more than 8 Amps ? That could happen if the battery is partialy discharged. In other words the battery may not be discharged to the point that will require more...

    What component is this?

This is a polyesther capacitor. Common in audio systems. the marking 335 stands for 3.3 microfarads capacitance. They are high voltage capacitors.

    Wire connection point to point?

Yes, still calling them the same is Okay since they achieve the exact same purpose, which is to galvanically connect two points, only with slightly different way.

Good day ! If i use a dual link DVI-D cable instead of simple DVI-D that i use now, will there be any real difference visible ? I quess not especially when it comes to office use.

    VGA vsDVI

Good evening everyone! I have a question concerning my pc’s connection to my monitor. I have an old PC with an nvidia geforce GT640 card and an LG flatron L1970hq monitor. My monitor supports only VGA and DVI. With the VGA connection I can use max resolution (1280x1024) at 75hz refresh rate but...

ATX PSU turns on immediately after power connected

I agree. Normally it's the 5V section that is used as standby. Ive never seen an ATX PSU use lower than that. I suspect that some capacitor may have dried out and causes short circuit or low resistance path.
