    14-pin ATX Power Supply pinout

Just so you know, the 14 pin connector isn't really a full blown standard, its more a like a shared proprietary kind of thing.... (IBM used to do this with a few model power supplies... and almost everyone does it with there server power supplies)...

    4in lcd touch screen

I did do a little bit of surfing... the fan controller here looks like something that could be easily modified to fit into a couple of 5.25" bays in the case... or you could just cut a hole for it too :-p. I wasn't able to find too many others that do what you want it to, the one above honestly...

    A wiring question

Yeah I would need to see some kind of specifications on what kind of signal is traveling down those little wires... there are some decent equations to figure out attenuation that aren't too hard to plug in numbers into... I'd have to find something appropriate, but 10 inches is probably not too...

    Yet Another Voltage Regulator Thread

My one question to you, is if the load on the power supply will be low, you can see how high the +5v rails are... sometimes they get as high as 5.75v.... just a thought.

    A wiring question

in all technicality, you could use 14 of the same gauge wire, connected by any fashion you like... simply by cutting the connection down the center... now, whether this will negatively impact the performance of the device... I can't tell you, but in a situation like this, I would recommend a...

5v to illuminated switch - help

As far as illuminated switches go, if they are meant for a car, they will run on 12-15 volts for the lamps, so defiantly use a 12V supply rail. The illuminated switches at radioshack should meet your specs... and most have the circuit diagram/ instructions on the back of the package. Most if...

    Circuit maker program?

One little program I used to use, and still do from time to time... is Google Sketch up. I am checking out DesignSpark (Steve's Post) currently... we shall see how that works... looks really cool. And Davenn... I gotta tell you... you work some serious magic with MS paint... I have an artist...

    4in lcd touch screen

There are several USB/Software controlled devices on the market that can do this for you... I would recommend something like this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811992006&cm_re=fan_controller-_-11-992-006-_-Product

    Blown Inverters...

Probably not my most intelligent post... but isn't there a diode or a BANK of diodes you can use so this doesn't happen again? Having that happen more than once is probably not a fantastic thing at all.... there has to be some kind of protection circuitry you can put in line... right??

help please wiht laptop power issue

Good deal! it was probably one of the identification pins, you can go into the BIOS and see if it is recognizing the power supply connected (65W, 90W, etc.) if it still is able to do that... then I am not sure exactly which ones, but either way, I am happy that its working for you! Matty-

    APC Smart-UPS 2200 - Immediate Overload Fault

Was it originally designed to work with 110v @ 60 hz? Or does it have a switch that it will let you move to put it into that mode? Thats what I would check first. Either that, or the plug end may be polarized incorrectly, I always triple check when working with mains voltage. Matty-

    Laptop LED screen issue

Just a quick note, I have bought from laptopscreen.com before, a good bunch of people from what I can tell... and LG = Life is Good electronics, a very reputable name in the LCD/LED/PLASMA line.... and lots of other stuff too... as far as the display goes, I would honestly be looking at the...

    Tektronix 475A Display problem [Horizontal?]

Thanks for the good info gents, sorry about the delay in my post... had some other issues that needed to get worked out, at any rate, within the next couple of days I'll go though the scope and get back to you on how things are going. All of the caps that I saw looked decent but I'll have some...

    Yamaha YPT-300: No b-flat; e-natural anywhere!

That's rather nifty! Then again, I've only had a few really nice keyboards apart.

    Yamaha YPT-300: No b-flat; e-natural anywhere!

Most of the time, kids toys have multiplexed keyboards (especially the really cheap ones), this one probably doesn't, but I would defiantly lean more towards the frequency divider or some sort of crystal they all share in common (like steve was saying).

my laptop's screen is not well ??

Depending on the model / brand of the laptop here are a few common things to look at: HP DV6000 Series (and a few others): the graphics chips would heat up so much that they would un-seat themselves from the board and make the machine keep re-starting without seeing any boot screen. Dell...

help please wiht laptop power issue

Pictures would be good to know what 2 outer pins you are talking about. I've done quite a bit of laptop repair, and when I have a badly broken power jack (possibly cracked board). I generally replace the board, you can find them all over the internet. you should know your board model number /...
