    ITT bashing

This question has evolved from recent political statements that I recently viewed. The politics of the matter are of no concern of mine but the subject matter is. Does ITT deserve the recent bad-mouthing it has received on national news? The only contact I had with ITT was a job interview...

    EMP attack!

Do you have an opinion about parasitic vibrations in tube devices resulting in a more pleasing "timber" of sound quality as opposed to the rigid construction of solid state devices? Be honest, I can take it.

    EMP attack!

I for one, am much more comfortable knowing I have access to electric lights in the dead of night as opposed to, say, burning hog guts on a stick for my reading light.

Tesla boasts a car, 0 to 60 in 1.9 seconds. Says they have plans which will chew that down to 1.1 seconds. Buckle up!

    Crop circles. Easy reading

Those were a couple of busy guys. I'm sure they laid down some circles which were easily identified as fake but their efforts at celeb status will not explain the greater occurrence of circles. Do some more investigation before writing off crop circles as hoax. Or not. Some info, some that is...

You are correct and I am mistaken. Perhaps I was thinking of the injectors, which I now do not think would be that much of a problem. I am under the impression that turbine engines use injectors. Hence, when observing chem trails, one sees the spread out substance as lines across the sky. Not...

Oh, also, when I resume work on this project, if the creation of crop circles explodes, I want full responsibility plus the emails of those creating the circles.

    EMP attack!

I should think electronics enthusiasts could construct radio comm devices from surviving components. Maybe have local networks up and running in a week. I am totally unversed in EMP action. Is it predicted to toast every component thru which it passes?

Advice and suggestions are safe answers. As of late, the cylinder related part of this engine, which I refer to as the anvil, and the piston related part, which I refer to as the hammer, are going magnetic. This will surely bring things into the realm of electronics.

    EMP attack!

A few decades ago, I was commissioned to design a sales help device that would demonstrate a wrist band that dissipated static build-up in the human body which can be damaging to electronic components. It was a stand alone device, no cable to ground, no radio output as far as I know. I have no...

This thread is more so destined for the Twilight Zone section but I was denied access to that forum. No biggy. Since 1972, somewhere around the introduction of the rotary Wankel internal combustion engine, I decided to lay down plans for an internal combustion engine which possessed nearly no...

    Site name

I just read eerob's post which answered my question. In another forum I frequent, the is a "click here" prompt which marks a particular thread as SOLVED. May be useful for your forum, also.

    Views of individual thread counts

Binary, octal, decimal, and hexadecimal. Binary seems to negate any indecision. Yes, no. True, false. Hysteresis can lead results into no-mans land. Between 0.8 and 2 V is a bad place to go hunting bits also. If you must work in hex, the explosion conversion method is a handy item. I would give...

    Views of individual thread counts

I better retract my suggestion. It appears there is not room for a 4 digit number. New format seems ok. Everything new is a little buggy. That's the Microsoft Way.

    Views of individual thread counts

I noticed that the "Views" posted with "Replies" in the thread listings is rounded off to the nearest 1000. My preference is to have the actual realtime count. Surely a couple lines of code can extract count from reply count register and puke it out onto the Views listing. If you didn't leave...

    Desparately seeking off button

I am liking my silent computer. I suppose that there may be a function that I may want to have a notification alert sound but haven't come across yet. I have found a nice Windows 10 forum which I will use for questions like this was, so as to not blur the border between computer use and...

    Desparately seeking off button

I entered a No Sound scheme at the Sound tab in the sound control panel. Muted Volume Change notification and I think all sounds except kybd clicks. Different problem: I clicked on reply when viewing this reply from you. It brought me to this panel where I am typing now. If I go to Post Reply...

    Desparately seeking off button

I entered no sounds as the sound scheme and volume change notification sound is mute. Cool. On screen keydb still clicks on every letter but not a problem in my situation.
