    Convert V to mV

Ok, its not being transmitted on a laser diode. i was thinking along the lines of radio waves instead, like an antenna. So the input is 9v then it gets converted to an output between -70 and -80 mV. This signal gets a wave form of its own with data placed on it (pulse peak/trough per...

    Convert V to mV

Ok, ok. Here's the experiment i'm doing: To emit and receive a signal between the -70 mV and -80 mV range using pulsated LD's. Now i know it might sound crazy, but apparently it's possible That is the full description. That is why i wanted to convert 9v or some other source between...

    Convert V to mV

No, no actually it is the output - - 80 mV is the output. The input is - well i set it at 9v. This is possible isn't it? i could go higher but not too sure right now

    Convert V to mV

Well i want to project it out within a range of 10km kind of like a radio station sending out their signal.

    Convert V to mV

Thanks the drawing is fine, but don't i need a diode just in case the battery is placed in the wrong way? Also, the current i am seeking is - 80 mV not + 80 mV. So i think the current for this is something like 0.1 - 0.3 but i want to use this current like a radio station so it's like the...

    Convert V to mV

Not sure yet how much current. Btw, What do you mean by 'tap' and how do i do that technique?

    Convert V to mV

I need to have an output of at least 80 mV so according to ohm's law I = V/R I = 0.08 / 10 = 0.008 I = 0.008 Amperes I was looking online for something that could give me the resistors, caps and other stuff for the circuit but came close to nothing. So far the net has told me to...

    Convert V to mV

Hi Guys, Thanks for the help in the past. Things with the other projects are going fine. I have a new project and it has to do with converting V into mV. I was thinking of having an input of 9V and converting it to an output of 80 mV. Can anyone help? This is hard to do. Thanks

    Laser diode driver circuit

Hey it works with 2x 10 ohm res in parallel. great stuff. I'll probably upload a vid when i get time. Btw, was thinking of doing a pulse type as an add-on but wasn't sure if a 555 IC could do it with a driver attached. Also looking at gamma to add into the mix with the driver.

    Laser diode driver circuit

Ah i see. Ok well, i'll try it with the 2x 10 ohms R in parallel. But at least the 100 ohm Var Res works. The Darlington pair works with the E of one Transistor connected to the B of the other transistor which causes the current to multiply its amount when it comes out of the E on the 2nd...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Thanks man, good news - it worked. But the light is not enough for some reason, i got the red dot appearing when i turned the dial on the variable resistor the light got brighter and brighter but it was still dim even at max peak. My power supply was 7.2 v from rechargeable batts. I would of...

    Laser diode driver circuit

What if i use a 100 ohm variable resistor instead of the 10 ohm resistors in series or parallel? That would still work won't it? I've attached the diagram. (LD driver 1) Also i've noticed that with this driver circuit my LD goes from dim to bright when i turn the dial. Now if i wanted...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Thanks for the replies. Are you saying that the diode and cap don't do anything? I thought they helped regulate the current flow to the + of the LD? If i took it out, the LD might go bust and it's worth alot to me. I've tested the leads going to the LD with a multi meter and the voltage...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Thanks, although i tried this on a copper tracking and only got heat flowing through but the LD didn't work. not sure what went wrong. I'll have to do it again and see just to make sure. My doubts are on the copper tracking. Also for the 100 ohm variable, there are 2 pins connected on...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Hi, Trying to make a Laser Diode Driver circuit. Can you help? I have the LM317, 2x 10 ohm resistors, 1n4001 diode, 10 uf 16 v cap and 100 ohm variable resistor. I have attached a pic of the PCB i've been working on. Thanks

    Laser Driver Circuit

I'm thinking of building something that drives the number of pulses from slow blinking to fast blinking. The LD i have is a DVD so it should be able to handle a substantial amount of current. Also want to add some sort of picture to place on it. :)

    Laser Driver Circuit

Hi, I need some help with designing a laser driver circuit. I found a red diode that could probably take 5 - 9 v easily but saw from other posts online that i would need a heat sink if i wanted to apply more power. Needing help to create the driver circuit. Thanks
