Can I Connect a DC-DC step up converter to a USB powerbank?

There are several multi voltage power banks on the market. Only one I know of that will supply the voltage you want, or close enough. I've been using the Powerstream MP3450 for about three years now.

Combining an Amplifier with a Voice Changer?

No. What you see is what there is. The original poster probably lost interest, realized he was in over his head, found another solution, couldn't get a replacement device or any number of other possibilities and unfortunately Kris died in early 2015 (thread linked below)...

    Need help connecting vibrating motors

I completely failed to notice the link in the O.P. I don't like Adafruit so it may have been due to a subconscious aversion. Harald's got the energy budget worked out and the minimum battery supply that would get you through a day would be two AA alkaline cells but it would be more economical...

    Need help connecting vibrating motors

We need to know how much current each motor draws when driven with 3V. Do you have a power supply and multimeter?

Bluetooth Receiver Input to 3.5mm Jack Output

You just need a small audio amplifier to drive the speakers or headphones from the bluetooth module's output. One easy, inexpensive way to achieve both goals is to get a pair of amplified speakers (computer speakers) that have an integral headphone jack. The only other thing you may need is a...

Bluetooth Receiver Input to 3.5mm Jack Output

What kind of output do you need? The plug coming from the bluetooth receiver is a usually a "line level" audio output intended to feed a line level input on an audio device such as an amplifier.

    Course Choice

The best choice of course, of course is to choose the course that's fine, not coarse. :) Sorry, my impulse control module has an intermittent fault in the alliteration section.

Thinking about opening an Electronic store: still worth it ?

Agreeing with Steve and restating; the ONLY advantage you'd have over the global supply chain is the ability to provide instant gratification and that will not generate enough traffic. Even in ideal settings with strong local industrial and educational customer bases, such stores struggle...

That awful "yellow glue" - How to remove it?

Yes, of course. I'm using the term Dremel to represent all similar devices. It's your board. Use your judgement.

That awful "yellow glue" - How to remove it?

The risk with the Dremel is slipping and scuffing something. The mechanical stress of pushing and prodding with whatever cleaning tools you use may crack a solder joint or even break a lead. I like Sunny's idea about leaving the low voltage areas alone.

That awful "yellow glue" - How to remove it?

You'll probably do more harm than good with a Dremel. That glue is a mastic type adhesive, similar to what's used to adhere vinyl flooring. I haven't tried this yet but something oily like paint thinner, deodorized kerosene or one of those orange oil-based adhesive removers might work. You'll...

Need Electronics projects for 8 year old

Take a good browse around Elenco's products. They have a variety of electronic, mechanical and other items. http://www.elenco.com I wouldn't expect an eight year old to be ready for microcontrollers, even Arduino unless he's particularly precocious or gifted in the logical/analytical way...

    Help Identifying a Battery

The O.P. stated in post #5 that the dimensions of the pack were approximately 31mm long and 8mm diameter. This only matches 1/3 AAAA for a two-cell pack so it mystifies me that there is continuing discussion of other sizes. It may be the case that the correct batteries have been obsolete so...

Just a minute of your time...

In the developed world, people who've cheated their way to a degree are usually prevented from getting a job that's far above their competence level by the interview process but elsewhere, such as in India, Vietnam and eastern Europe, exam answers, essay writing and other cheating services have...

    Inductive sensor interference

I seem to remember reading in one sensor catalog that there was a method of pulsing the sensors alternately so that one is on while the other is off, essentially multiplexing, but it requires some control elements in addition to the sensors.

Clarification on LED millicandela and light output

Yes, if you want a numerically accurate match and assume the specifications are correct. Maybe. Almost certainly. If you're looking for a visual match, power both equally then use a potentiometer on the brightest one to determine the correct resistance for matching. This is done by eye either...

    Soldering and veroboard HELP!!

Be sure the copper strips are clean. Oxidation will give you grief. You can clean the copper by scrubbing it gently with a nylon scouring pad such as Scotch-Brite. I recommend the non-scratch one but others will work...
