    Farberware Food Processor FP3000FBS

Yes please, If you can ,measure RPM it may help. From the measurements it looks like you should be getting 2 speeds. VDC: SP1 = 3.7, SP2 = 3.7 , SP3 = 4.8, P = 4.8 SP1=SP2 and SP3=pulse (the later group is faster). SP3 and pulse look to be fine(maximum speed). Does pulse function in the...

    Farberware Food Processor FP3000FBS

Your are welcome, This is what we do here, help;) We can go on finding the fault. First thing is to check the DC voltage on DZ1, 12VDC expected,it should be present both in the ON an OFF states. What do you get? Then check the DC voltage on DZ7, 12VDC expected in ON state,0V in off state...

    Wiring LEDs to Corresponding Switches?

Nop guys ! For 100 LEDs you should use a matrix ! That will simplify everything by the order of squrae root of the number of LEDS!

    Microcontroller replaceable?

For processors, that is mostly true("every bit counts"),but for μC, not so ("every I/O pin for itself"). Actually a darlington doesn't provide more protection than a single BJT, if there is a breakdown in the CB junction it will reach and damage the driver the same way. I think it would be...

    Microcontroller replaceable?

Replacing the μC at theses prices is probably not economical. If you buy large amounts of products("become a distributor") the manufacture of the equipment may be willing to provide you a master device or file that can be copied/programed for servicing. If you do decide to replace the μC , note...

Are older computer components worth anything?

These look like parts that can be used for new projects and or repair. If you don't need them, one option would be to sell them on Ebay. You can check their price on digikey or mouser for reference.

    What do I need?

Yes, Chinese products are a big headache. Poor design and quality, very bad reliability, false statements of specs.,false statements of safety regulations etc. etc. etc. One other enormous problem that china is causing is breaking of patents and rights ,copying and forging almost everything...

Help identify a resistor without bands

@bushtech Yes, generally it is. Except when the resistor is used as a fuse in the circuit,in this case use only the same wattage. Such as fusible resistors.

Help identify a resistor without bands

Most probably a Flame-proof/Flame-resistant resistor. A "safety part" common in high wattage/current amps. Should not catch fire when current exceeds high value on fault conditions. Wattage depends on size(?),could be 3W. Like this one Any other writing on it? Don't replace it with a "regular"...

3 switched earth's to a decoder to produce 6 earth outputs

Welcome to EP. You didn't find a 3 to 7 decoder cause there isn't a commercial one. What you should use is a 3 to 8 one. like the 74HC138 etc.

    What do I need?

One thing that will help you a lot is having the service manual of the equipment you are trying to repair. It has the schematics and usually a troubleshooting guide, sometimes it also has detailed explanation of the circuits. Some can be found freely on the WEB others need to be purchased. When...

About soldering, You are correct,a too high temperature for a too long time may damage parts. The temperature to be used is dependent of many factors including: 1.Soldered device limits and heat profile. 2.Type of heat source. 3.Type of the solder itself. 4.Type of soldering tip. 5.Type and...

The diodes look o.K. The DMM showing "I"(i for infinity, actually "1") means it is in the O.L.(over load) state, it is expected in the case you described for the diodes. This doesn't have to be infinity, so those meters which display O.L. are more "accurate" in that sense. Here is an example a...
