    Pulsated LD

So in the first circuit, i know that P1 is a VarRes but just want to make sure what P2 (duty Cycle) is. Is P2(duty Cycle) a 555 Timer?

    Pulsated LD

Sorry for the delayed response chaps, had work all week long. Anyway ... ok i had this red LD so i placed it into a driver circuit which gave an output of about 250 mA. The driver was a 100 Variable Resistor and controlled how much current would come through to the LD using 2x 10 ohm...

    Pulsated LD

You got me there. Ok, for now how about we focus on just the output then, you know, to drive a LD with 2 controllers at least. I mean i built an LD with only 1 controller - the driver so how hard must it be to just add a second controller which controls the amount of pulses the LD sends?

    Pulsated LD

Ok what about projectors? They project out entire images and can be altered to be brighter/darker. Here are some links http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Digital_Light_Processing http://www.projectorcentral.com/panasonic_rw430u_projector_review.htm...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Suppose. Sorry about the link. Have been working throughout the week but i'll have it linked up soon. Thanks

    Laser diode driver circuit

Ok, since this is from a dvd burner, i'm assuming it will take 480 mA max or 430 mA at least? Just out of my head since it is no ordinary LD. Also would you happen to know what type of lens and material the Aixiz Housing Cylinder is made out of? It's abit difficult trying to get one...

    Laser diode driver circuit

Hey steve, it worked. YIppeee!! I'll load it up and give you guys a link. In the meanwhile, just wanted to know, is it possible to go beyond 250 mA on a red LD? I was thinking of maybe using 5 ohms Res or even 1 ohm Res but was afraid that it might destroy the diode.

    Pulsated LD

I know which type of Laser etcher you are referring to. it is the one that you load an image or design into and it automatically draws it out with accurate precision. This project is not like that. In this project, you load the image into the device and the full image then gets projected...

    Pulsated LD

Yes, but this is not so complicated. I mean here's the questions i did my research on: 1) Can a LD have a driver controller attached which controls how how bright/ dim it will go? This is dependent on the current and voltage being allowed through the VR. 2) If so, Can it be possible to...

    Pulsated LD

Ok, so which interfaces can i use that will only allow the device to receive the images and not be powered up as it is plugged into the computer? Because i need the image to be saved in order for the engraver to show the image, I can only think of usb's doing this plus they have the ability to...

    Pulsated LD

The overall aim is to make a wireless image engraver with memory that can read and write. I don't know what the nature of the signal is, but i'm pretty sure it is used for images. The volume and tone is just what i call it because it is the easiest for me to remember them. But in truth...

    Pulsated LD

The signal is to be emitted by a laser diode. What is the difference? A laser diode can only do one thing - Emit. I suppose. Ok how about this - the LD uses 2 functions to drive it: 1) One is used to make the LD brighter or dimmer - this enables the data to be marked more larger or...

    Pulsated LD

Yes LD stands for Laser Diode. It should have volume and tone controls to modulate the output. Yes like a rotary encoder where the volume goes from low to high and drops then as you continue turning it in the same direction the volume picks up again starting from low to high.

    Pulsated LD

Ok. It is a voltage source that emits a pulsated signal from a Laser diode. I want to amplify it and be able to send the data through walls to the receiver.

    Pulsated LD

Hi, ok, here we go. I want to build a pulsated LD with tone and volume adjustment logs (full circle motion) which will run on at least 3 V with an increase maximum current output through the use of Darlington pairs. Besides that, i'll need an IC chip that is capable of having data...

    Convert V to mV

Ok if it is not clear to you, then i didn't represent my way of thinking properly and i apologise for that. My goal is simple: to get a waveform within the range of -70 to -80 mV transmitted. That's all. I know i had said LD at the start but now that i've done some further research i...

    Convert V to mV

Thanks but i'm not trying to hide anything. This is just a theory and as with all theories, i am expecting alot of doubters and confused looks, Anyway that's where i need help in, trying to find out what is the best way of transmitting the info. In this case, i have only come up with two at...

    Convert V to mV

Thanks but that's where i need help in, trying to find out what is the best way of transmitting it. I was thinking radio waves would do as they are fitted with a carrier and signal which becomes rapid the more shorter the wavelength, or a LD which signal and carrier can be altered depending on...

    Convert V to mV

OK let's step away from the LD for a second. I'll try to tell you the best i can about Biomeds and electronics. It can help people with disabilities in the brain once it has been unlocked. I've also attached a pic as a guide for you. Firstly, dendrites collect electrical signals which is...

    Convert V to mV

Sure. Thank you for giving my project a chance. I have attached some pics of what i was studying. Also i have come to understand that -80 mV is achievable though i need some help in doing so (see my work on one of the pics that has lines and circles)
