Not Understanding Arduino useage versus traditional Electronics useage in Devices.

Many people are using Arduino (& Rasberry Pi ?) to make functioning electronics devices naowadays using code & programming. I know Arduino & microcontroller ARE electronics devices, but a lot of makers avoid electronics and instead use the software capability of Arduino to make what used to be...

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

How would you use the sensors you listed in the Banggood ads in practical application for everyday useful gadgets? In other words, how would you use these sensors with Arduino to create helpful devices around the house instead of just for Toys or meaningless fun gizmos? I always look at tools...

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

I feel kind of unsure of handing my credit card info over to a company in that Country. With Amazon you have a buffer between Amazon and the vendors. In this case it would be a direct purchase. Maybe some people don't see a problem but with the world political situation the way it is...

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

I use Amazon because they like to have their vendor production facilities and work force right behind their warehouses so you get intimate quality control and fast delivery all at an affordable price. It helps the local economy also.

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

I'm not familiar with Banggood. Where is that company located? Have you found them to be trustworthy? "No where is there a select a specific sensor, its for the whole kit of sensors shown." The reason I asked that is because the price $5.39 just seemed absurdly low for so many sensors

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

I don't understand those "banggood" prices. What am I missing? How can they sell that ridiculously low? examples in your first links: entire kits with components $1.80 "Flash Deals" $5.39 ----Is that "Per Sensor"...

Best Arduino Starter Packaged Kits on Amazon. (also what about "Rasbery Pi"?)

New to Arduino, although I have done some programming. There are many Arduino starter kits available on Amazon. There are quite a few configured package choices with different extra components included for the money. Which one would be considered the, "Best Bang for Your Buck" and would give...

Is this site about Eastern Mysticism or Electronics? I have plenty of books and understanding of Mysticism but don't mix it up with electronics.

Older Big Discreet Circuits versus Multiple Micro Circuits in ICs

If you can and want to fix it, then you’ll save money but not necessarily time.️ As someone once said, "Time is Money" It is part of the "Is it Worth it" equation. Unless you have no other choice and you do have some extra Time available.

Older Big Discreet Circuits versus Multiple Micro Circuits in ICs

You have already stated that you’re not interested in the hobby and only want to make extra money. Correct. That's what I was inquiring about in THAT thread which was making some extra money repairing various electronic gear and if that was possible in todays throw-away electronics economy...

Older Big Discreet Circuits versus Multiple Micro Circuits in ICs

Only YOU know what you are capable of doing. It's not about ME and what I'm capable of doing. It's about what is the current state of Electronics opportunities and skill level and the state of supply and demand in the Electronics field that would offer a Do-it-Yourself type situation a...

Backyard DIY Auto Repair and Backyard DIY Electronics Repair

Regarding your statements in red: I suppose that is the bottom line for DIY repair when it comes to having a O-scope, VOM and other electronic repair gear in your garage next to your mechanics (and household) toolbox. Even if you are proficient in higher math (as Delta Prime pointed out)...

That is a good observation and and another angle on the issue and I agree. Also to take what you said even further, what "Delta Prime" said about the higher Math and Physics involved. It's really the Physics of atom structure doing the actual work and you can't see it except indirectly through...

Backyard DIY Auto Repair and Backyard DIY Electronics Repair

I was speaking of the Auto Mechanics who are also Machinists who work on Automobiles and the machining of parts that go on those automobiles. I have known Machinists who are proficient in both skills, as machining compliments auto mechanics and is inseperable from it at a higher skill level...

Backyard DIY Auto Repair and Backyard DIY Electronics Repair

You would have to send the heads (with valves) and bottom end (with Pistons and crankshaft) to a Machine Shop to get that work done. they would really do the "Math" if required. About all you would have to concerned about would be the "torque" settings for covers and the Heads, manifolds etc. as...

Backyard DIY Auto Repair and Backyard DIY Electronics Repair

Yes it is "the Math" that makes it different. There is some minimal math in auto mechanics but not much. Used to be with big discreet circuits and components Math was more important. Now is just "find the culprit board, take it out and replace it" so math is not that important unless you want...
