Newb wanting to BT my van

The question about whether using a tablet to control your car while driving is a bad idea or not wasn't really what @pengyou was asking about ;-) It would probably be good to stick to the original question about motors and bluetooth controllers so the thread doesn't go off topic :)

LED strip light not powering up after installation.

You should get a multi-meter and use the resistance setting to see if you can find where a break is in the wire (if there is one), that will help pinpoint if it's an issue with the wires or not. :)

What kind of resistor should be appropriate for my laptop?

What brand and model is your laptop? If we know that we might be able to give you some more specific ideas :)

Proteus and Panelization for PCBs: Mouse Bites?

I wonder if the fab house will even take your files if they have slots in them, I believe their locations depend on the other boards on the panel. What fab are you thinking of? I've used http://www.pcbway.com/ and I just sent them gerbers directly exported from eagle with no slots, had no...

Proteus and Panelization for PCBs: Mouse Bites?

Not sure I understand you question fully, but I'll take a stab at it! I'm assuming your talking about the slots that are used to separate your board from the other boards on a panel at the fab. I haven't used Proteus/Ares, but usually all you do is send the board gerbers to the fab and they...

    My Modified Router

Cool project! I want to do that sometime, maybe even build my own router from an open-source kit so I have more control over it :) Does your name "LightShow" have anything to do with the spectrum cycling Razer BlackWidow in the background? ;)

    USB with 5 wires?

Is this a standard USB keyboard, or one with some kind of USB Micro plug? If it's a normal one I don't think the yellow wire is actually connected on the other end, or it's pulled to ground.

    Very Fine Cable?

Is this what your looking for? I have several rolls of it, but unfortunately they don't have any markings and the store that used to sell them in 3 packs here closed, so I don't know what company made them.

    Any cable TV experts?

I'm not an expert, but I do believe they are connected. I have a friend who works for a company that makes some services Comcast uses, and he told me that Comcast's cable boxes a do some statistics collection so they can analyze how people are using their cable boxes, and I believe that to do it...

    SD Card Chip/Emulator

I think I have all the information now I need to get a started on my project :) Thanks guys! I'm probably going to just go with an SD card in a socket, I was mainly asking this because I wanted to see if I could save space and cost on my design by putting the actual SD card electronics on the...

    SD Card Chip/Emulator

From what I've read it sounds like it is, but I'd be surprised if there isn't an IC somewhere that's compatable

    SD Card Chip/Emulator

Thanks, I wasn't sure what was in them before :) Do you know what I should search for to get more information on SD controller chips? I've been googling and searching on digikey with no avail, I just keep getting get normal SD cards, not the chips inside them. I've been looking on the SD card...

    SD Card Chip/Emulator

Hi, I'm wonder if anyone knows if such an IC exists that is basically the chip inside an SD card? So basically by using it on a board, you could replace an SD card slot with it, since it's essentially an SD card. I have a unique project idea in mind where I would use something like this, but...

    Logitech Z515 wireless speaker fried?

You probably fried it, however there is a chance there might just be a fuse inside that you could replace..

Trying to Attach Momentary Push Buttons (Rocker-Type) to a circuit board with Silicone Buttons.???

It's definitely possible, just really tricky, you'll need to solder one wire to one side of the pad, and the other wire to the other side. I'd recommend using (if you have it) a really small tip on your iron, and flux, as well as pre-tining the wires and pads (if you can) so as to make it easier
