    Driver required

You don't know what you want. It is the LEDs that determine the voltage. You haven't mentioned the wattage

Why is this LED not 20 Watts?

(*Steve*) Can you measure the current drawn by your LED when connected to this driver and the voltage across it? Why did you ask this question when you know the driver is a constant current device that delivers 600mA.

Why is this LED not 20 Watts?

If you take the reading already provided, the 9.1 watts @ 600mA represents 15v across the LED for 100% efficiency. If we take 80% efficiency, the LED is actually a 12v device with internal resistor. This is basically the wrong type of LED to connect to a constant current supply however if the...

Why is this LED not 20 Watts?

I am surprised that no-one has mentioned this important fact. We've only mentioned it three or so times. Show me where you have asked him to find out the characteristic voltage of his 20 watt device.

Why is this LED not 20 Watts?

What is the characteristic voltage across the 20 watt LED you are using? The characteristic voltage is the voltage that naturally develops across the "chip" or "chips" that are incorporated in the LED device being illuminated. Sometimes there is one chip or 2 chips or 3 chips. You have to...

Why is this LED not 20 Watts?

You have bought the wrong driver. The driver you are using will only deliver 20 watts when the voltage across the string of LEDs is about 33v. If each LED is say 3 to 4 volts, you need 10 LEDs.

I want to made a mini heater for a my 36.8v 8.62A 320w solar panel

The voltage of the 36v solar panel is too high for a normal 7812 regulator. You will need some sort of high-voltage regulator.

amperage to voltage relationship of mechanical switch ratings

All these values have been generated through tests of the individual switch and it is a value based on the manufacturers consideration as to how he guarantees the performance of his switch. It to do with the surface contact of the switch, how fast it opens and closes and how often the...

Help wanted on EL34 and 12AX7 tubes

It is the valve its-self that produces the negative voltage on the grid and if the coupling capacitor is leaky, this voltage will be less negative than it should be and may even be positive.

    Voltage on a white LED.

LEDs like yours are rated at 17mA and should not be driven at more than 25mA. You will get no life out of it at 50mA.

LED burns when oscilloscope is connected to it

The first thing to do is remove the earth pin of the CRO when measuring "hot chassis" TV's etc. This can be done with an adapter on the "power plug." Then the whole CRO is floating and you need to touching nothing else or you will get fried. I am referring to a "mains powered" CRO. .
