    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

The schematic is Justification: At the out point there is fixed voltage of 12V and 10 amps. If i put an LED of 0,7V forward voltage drop and the current i want to pass through is 20mA, then the resistance value is (12 - 0.7)/20mA = 0.5K Ohm. Hopefully it is correct now.

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

Sorry for delay, i was bit confused, finally i got the output matching with 12V I attached the schematic. Could you please confirm if it is correct?

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

The idea here is one LED will be ON when input voltage is powered on. One other LED will be ON when the output voltage has reached 12V. I thought lot about it, where to place the LED, the main idea was the Vin voltage could vary from 24V to 100V and i did not want to effect the LED brightness/...

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

I have updated with higher MOSFET rating IC of 120V Vds. I also added for indication of the LED at the input and output side, but the simulation does not give 12V output when i add these components. The circuit works without input and output LED circuit. One other question is since it is...

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

Thank you very much. i will simulate and update the results, i have few other questions may be once i am ok with the results i will ask.

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

Vin is 24V to 100V. Vout is 12V and 10Amps.

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

I have simulated the circuit, and it gives as expected 12V output, Few questions i want to ask is, as referred in the data, can i use the output voltage to provide power to Vcc and DRVcc? I am trying it but not successful. I get something like this 2. There is also requirement if the input...

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

Thank you for the reply I am not able to find this example model. I am able to see only LTC3703 part. Could you please share me the path or the model itself?

    Circuit Simulation of LTC3703

I am trying to simulate the circuit which is a smaller part of the bigger circuit of the buck converter IC LTC3703 data sheet https://www.analog.com/en/products/ltc3703.html, the smaller circuit i have attached, which is on page 17, i created the LT spice model for the same, my expectation is...

    Buck Converter Clarification

I found the following formula for the buck converter, for example if the requirement is Input voltage is 24V and the output voltage is 12V, using the standard buck circuit the duty cycle is calculated as D = output voltage / input voltage = 12/24 = 50% duty cycle. But i need to design a circuit...

    Product life question

If the general requirement for a product to be designed for example some 200,000 km and some 10 years of service life. How exactly this shall be taken care or ensured that this will happen without failing for the new product?

    Strategy for Over Voltage

Ok, that is true but the idea is to write software where in if any component fails and over voltage happens, how do i handle. As you told the study has to be done of how this scenario may happen. In case of regenerative braking the battery will be charged

    Strategy for Over Voltage

It is for 48V system of electrical vehicles where voltage of above 54V is considered as over voltage. Should it be taken care in hardware or software?

    Strategy for Over Voltage

I want to understand the strategy of over voltage protection. Suppose i detect the over voltage using software and then control the outputs by switching off, then the system comes back to normal voltage. But again if i do full operation it again goes to over voltage. I really do not understand...

Peak Power and Nominal power of motor

So, basically I need to create situation for peak power like over loading etc? Simple case what I am trying to understand is with continuous power I go for example 80Kmph suddenly can I apply peak power and goto 100Kmph for certain time?

Peak Power and Nominal power of motor

But for the input power to be high voltage remaining constant the current should be increased in peak power conditions. But how do I increase the current if the conditions are the same as the continuous power? It is all ending up in confusion.

Peak Power and Nominal power of motor

So can I assume that I can apply peak power for a limited period of time and the vehicle can accelerate faster. Is my conclusion correct?
