    E12 Resistor Series

Thank you mixos, billy, I'm not over the hill, but I am not a spring chicken either ;D but man I've got a terrible memory, this will make finding that resistor much easier :D. So I will become an Electronics God when I reach 500 posts. Man that was easy to learn electronics 8) ;D, maybe it...

    Problems with headphones... static?

steven lol, are you trying to turn us all into speed readers ;D. You need to make it bigger and give it some colour, keep at it Steven You will work it out 8);D ;D ;D.

LM317 circuit doesn't supply enough current (only 20mA)???

Hi mac72 and welcome :D, you shouldn't have any problem supplying 0.95A with the LM317 variable voltage regulator. what are you using as a power source to supply the LM317.

How do you become a Moderator?

mixos, I think electronic projects design/ideas, is where I spend most of my time :). But it doesn't take much to look in on other forums, so I'm happy if you think I could help out elsewhere 8).

    Power MOSFETs

Hi Yevgeni P, yes I would be very interested in reading that article, please do post :D.

How do you become a Moderator?

Does this mean I can't run riot in theory articles board anymore,Yevgeni P ;D ;D. mixos, I would also be more than happy to help out if I can, please don't hesitate to ask, if you think that there is any way I could contribute ;).

Yevgeni P, have a look at the attached PDF file :). ugn3503_appnote.pdf

    Pressure sensitive switch

U1 is the hall affects sensor, which is placed beneath the button. Then you place a magnet within the underside of the button, the voltage rise and fall from pin 1 of U2, will correspond to the magnet travel towards an away from the hall affects sensor. I hope this has been helpful :).

    Transformer ratings?

You can also just type the words you want Then highlight it And click on the appropriate button Then this crazy stuff happens 8) ;D ;D

    Pressure sensitive switch

Hi tweak232, this circuit that I posted is still work in progress, D1 is not needed. You could use a hall affects sensor, but as you can see it requires a few components, and is probably a bit of an overkill for what you want. But it is very flexible, and you can make it work like the PS/2...

    Bridge rectifiers

Matthew A. Concentrate your efforts on obtaining the electrical schematics for your outboard(and post them). This will be half your battle over. I'm sure someone will then be able to find a solution, contact your outboard manufacturer, someone anyone and get them from somewhere :).

    Datasheet request

Hi Steven, a miracle just happened, Dick Smith has released their new catalogue :o, I got a copy with silicon chip magazine. Their electronic component selection is a sad sight, I don't know if it is a mistake but there is no listing for voltage regulators. I hope Jaycar comes to town soon.

    Datasheet request

    Well if I can't find a datasheet for them, I shall have to exchange them for a couple of resistors. These things cost me eleven cents each, and I bought 2 off them :o, that was all my pocket money. :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

    Bridge rectifiers

Hi Matthew, I'm sure you realise that you need to apply caution, when modifying your electrical system ;). You need to be certain that you have found the problem, before you try to modify/improved your electrical system. You want to be sure you are not actually applying a Band-Aid fix. You...

How two use this transformer for PSU.

I discovered why I ran into problems trying to work out what A and V I could achieve, there was a short between the two wires that were insulated together. Once I separated them no sparks, when trying to configure them ;D. Pretty thick of me, I should have realised ::). Thank you everyone...

    components swap

Hi MP, I am very relieved MP :), thank you for your reply.

Can someone please tell me what this is.

Hi ante, the scavenging and salvaging the components is the easy part compared to, searching the Internet to find information for the components, man what a job :P ;D. I see ante, they are very useful indeed 8). Thank you.
