    resistor value

hi edd, as usual, thanks for your excellent reply. are the resistors depicted on he schematic 10 ohms or 100 ohms? also what should the current capacity of the power transformer at 24vdc? Vietnamese ? how about Brooklynese?

    resistor value

o.k., that's great, thanks for the explanation. it just seems strange he only used that designation on certain resistors.

    resistor value

yes, thanks for your input. I have never seen that notation.(100OM). I think the designer is from India.

    resistor value

[Mod Note: got rid of PDF and displayed the actual image]

    resistor value

no, the notation is 100OM. it's a resistor that is going into a diode, then into a 9v regulator.(7809).

    resistor value

hi edd, this notation (100OM) appears on a schematic for a soldering station I might build. can't check value. the saga of the cap checker has come to an end. I used some of the parts from it, to make another.

    resistor value

anyone know what the value of a resistor marked as 100OM on the schematic?

    cap tester repair

i measured from 600v to control shaft .5-.7 volt. from 600v to wafer .3-.4v. this is b4 cleaning.

    cap tester repair

edd, once again thank you for your in depth reply. I have not tested the voltage selector switch for leakage. I know for sure the other two switches were conductive. those two switches I've been baking in an oven, to try to dry them out, the results so far have been promising. ie: no measurable...

    cap tester repair

no, I think this tester is gone. but, i'am going to use parts from it to build another.

    cap tester repair

hi, the problem with this tester turned out to be phenolic wafer switches that have become conductive and leak voltage erratically. this was the result of me dousing those switches for years with contact cleaner. I never knew this could happen. live and learn.
