    Low cycle Pulse generator ?

Is this carved in stone or can it be modified with one end of the coil hard wired to +12V? Chris

How to find RPM of motor using KY-040 Rotary Decoder Encoder

A rotary encoder seems like overkill just to count pulses and convert them to RPM. Chris

    UV Light Meter Circuit (Analogue)

Hi Andy. I read through your datasheet and it would appear you don't need an optical filter. On that note it's always advisable to breadboard the circuit prior to building and enclosing it. It reduces those "Oh sh!t" moments.:) Keep us updated on your progress. Good luck, Chris

    UV Light Meter Circuit (Analogue)

The circuit looks adequate but posting your UV Diode model might be prudent. Not having much experience with them I don't know if UV Diodes also respond to other light spectrums. If that's the case it would require an optical filter. The datasheet for your Diode would hopefully spec this. Chris...

    VHF Repeater system

You can use the ADC input of a PIC to measure the battery voltage. This data can be outputted by the PIC in Serial Packets and transmitted via FSK. You can even have the PIC output your battery data as Morse Code. Something like this... Chris

Turn on device when car speaker signal detected

That steady state +6V signal will only be steady state when there's no audio output. Measured from vehicle ground it will never go negative but it will produce audio perturbations above zero. If you find that the RC hold time is to short you may want to replace Q1 with a logic level FET. The...

    Proteus

You didn't answer my question and I have no idea what you're saying. Transformers are passive devices not active. Are you referring to active as in the device providing animated interaction as an active switch, output display or sound output to the computer's sound card? Chris

    Proteus

I have the stripped down version of Proteus/ISIS called Picaxe VSM so I may not have the transformer model that you're using. Please post the transformer part number so I can see if I can simulate it. Chris

Turn on device when car speaker signal detected

Kruskal, sometimes there's a better way of accomplishing the same end. I have sadly fell far behind with much of the current technology. For all I know modern car radios/sound systems may incorporate a logic port that switches high or low when the system is powered on. For that matter, even if...

    455 KHz tunable BFO circuit

The datasheets for the 7805 and the 78L05 recommend 0.1μF and 0.01μF respectively for the output capacitor. I have gone as high as 10μF on the 7805. Personally I think 47μF is a bit much for that little L05. I could be wrong and it wouldn't be the first time. :) Chris
