    Speaker Volume Control possibly potentiometer

I would say what you have is a ganged pot with ground common. The attached diagram is almost most certainly how it is wired to the amp.

explain me the the basic of transmitter and receiver

A real basic explanation of how radios work would be to understand resonance. Say you were in a room and you were holding a tuning fork. Someone else in the room has an identically tuned fork and sets it to ringing. Your fork would start ringing,

    Weird Light Bulb

Thanks Clive, Axial lamps! Of course. Ouch, cheap?! this receiver cost me $170 in the 70s. Ugh, all the critics call it cheap too and I can't say I'm too fond of the way the lamping was implemented. Planned obsolescence I guess I signed up to Wes Components. I can always use different sources...

    Weird Light Bulb

Picture and Photofacts Request The picture came out pretty good if I do say so myself. I'm working on a Realistic TM-1000 receiver and every one of the bulbs are out. While I'm at it, if someone either has a schematic of a Sams Photofacts# MHF-76 I could sure use a copy. there is a touch switch...

    Weird Light Bulb

I need help locating a weird light bulb. As far as I can gather it most resembles a festoon style bulb only it doesn't have end caps just wires. The length is 1" / 25cm excluding wires, the Voltage is 12. It's for panel lighting so Amperage is probably fairly low (for incandescent) . They have...

    Need help for xmas project!

One of the things I pondered as a child when watching Star Trek was their phaser pistols and what kind of marvelous power source was contained in them. Fast reverse to 2011. I think the smallest and best you'll be able to find are lithium( not to be confused with di-lithium; sorry, Star Trek...

    Electrolytic Capacitors

If it's the same spec.s who cares if it's smaller. I've seen a dramatic decrease in the size of electrolytics over the years. What you might want to do is select caps with a higher Voltage rating and a greater temperature range especially since you're using them in a high temperature environment.

    1996 zenith tv

Are you hooking the DVD player into the converter box?! I don't think that's going to work. Why that worked before I haven't a clue. As a test you could try connecting the DVD player up directly to the TV(no converter box). If that works you could get a coax switch to put on your TV to switch...

    1996 zenith tv

I couldn't find any info on the set yet. Is there an Antenna A/B - cable option on the TV? Maybe it's on the wrong setting. Are there RCA sockets (yellow, white, red) on the TV? maybe go that route.

    1996 zenith tv

I was going to say 3 or 4 but you tried those. If you could supply the model numbers of the TV and DVD player perhaps a more exact answer can be made.

    Protron/Spectronics PS Schematic(fsp194 3f01)

Please, please, I'm hoping somebody has a schematic. This seems to be the main problem with this out of business TV brand. The capacitors are apparently underrated and they start venting taking other parts with them. I can muddle through but a 'road map' would help.

    transformer blowing fuses

Wait, wait, wait. Measure the AC on the secondary before you put it back in. You might glean a bit of insight as to the health of that transformer. Use clip leads and don't zap yourself. Without knowing too much about you amp my ballpark guess is you should measure around 40Vac.

    Testing a camera module

I'm guessing that that camera module draws around 300ma @ 12Volts so if that 9 Volt battery isn't brand new, fresh it might not be enough even with the addition of a couple extra cells. You might try using 8-1.5V cells. Also, the LEDs only kick in when it's dark enough.

    Night causes buzzing

You could maybe get one of those outlet tester things at the hardware store. They're fairly inexpensive, safe and easy to use.

    Testing a camera module

I think you were on the right track. Red - plus 12, Black - negative 12/signal ground, White - signal. Perhaps 9Volts is not enough to power up the camera.

Signal Ground The black is also signal ground. That board looks very much like the guts of a security camera.

    transformer blowing fuses

Smell That DC output thing is what bothers me. One of the troubleshooting tricks I've developed over time is the x($) smell aka x(£) smell. A problem that is serious enough to blow a line fuse usually leaves a ;calling card. Sniff around. Unplugged please. :D

What could be inside of this device?

I would suggest, Jakovn, that you buy one, open it up, take a pic, post the pic and enlighten us all. By the way, it sort of looks like a pillow speaker.
