    What you say is correct but the charge is still less. Caps may be great for triggering laser but for starting a car? I don't see it. Hundreds of Amps for a few seconds, not microseconds.

    That "4 V maximum" is maximum, not typical. What do they actually drop at 30 mA? Do you have a data sheet for these LEDs? Last time I priced 380 nm LEDs the price was outrageous and intensity was not so great..

    I don't think there is much of a standard. What do they do where you work? Receive the parts, confirm the count and identity. Test the parts. Full or only a percentage. Stock the parts. Pull parts for assembly according to BOM. Assemble. Test. Pack and ship.

    2.7 V and 350 F comes to about 1,200 coulombs for one capacitor. Compare that to a AA NiMH battery that can deliver 7,200 coulombs. Not much power to start a car with. Where did I go wrong?

    A 74147 us a Priority encoder and will do the decimal (1 of 10) to BCD part for you. I don't know if you will find one in a 3,3 V family. There are many BCD to 7 segment decoder / drivers available.
