    Amp driving LED project issue

Ah man those things are cool! You made that with 3915, huh? Those would work perfectly for this thing I'm trying to do. Guess I'm adding sound level indicators into my "to research" list. What happened to our lives, fellas, when research is our Recreation? Fun is now my boring!

    Amp driving LED project issue

Dude 90% of my supplies aren't made anymore. You guys buy components? Whenever I need something, I go wading through a spare bedroom full of circuit boards. Harvesting and recycling is the main part of this Hobby. 3915, you say? But would I really need more than one comparator for this? I'm...

    Amp driving LED project issue

I just want y'all to know what info others have given so we can all pool our brain power *puts on floaties*. I have been in contact with some of my old circuits classmates (who now have kids and I'm still gathering broken electronics LOL), my professor and others. One of them told me that...

    Amp driving LED project issue

someone else suggested this and says it will solve the problem but I'm skeptical. He changed that odd cap without polarity to a 0.1uF I have another TDA7231 so I'll try it tomorrow

    Amp driving LED project issue

Okay so I have worked up to this point with yall's help and this is the closest I've ever come to completing a project LOL. I've been working on this for quite some time. For me this is a rather large project. I'm taking an amp but instead of speakers giving LEDs to light. I want to make two of...

Can anyone help me identify these?

lol yea that's my German shepherd. I use her head as a display stand. ok WHOA I thought we just had another "they're LEDs. You blew them." situation. Lemme rest up and I'll go through that process and give you the results. Thanks!

Can anyone help me identify these?

Ahem.... what MAY have happened was they were powered incorectly due to whatever damage killed the printer they came out of.... That's more likely because that obeys the laws of physics. Also, blown LEDs wouldn't conduct the electricity along the same to those other LEDs. Still, seems blown is...

Can anyone help me identify these?

I accidentally ripped some off and thought maybe they were wired in series so yes, I did try connecting the terminals of the missing LEDs.

Can anyone help me identify these?

I put this post here cause these loooook like LEDa. However they don't light up and when I give power to them they provide power to the three LEDs you may see inside the circular holes on the circuit board. But they really look like LEDs. If you look closely they have a dome of clear plastic on...

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

Guys I wanna thank you for your help. For my sanity I'm gonna say I'm misinterpreting the manual and there is only 3 volts OR I'd need a daisy chain of these things to "embedded" switch it and I only have a daisy link. But yall are tops. Thank you for the benifet of your knowledge.

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

But let's do a reality check here. Would it be logical to make a whole power supply that just does 3 volts? That seems pointless in my admittedly narrow View. Why not just get an AC adapter

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

Upon Googling embedded switch, I see that it has to do with daisy chaining multiple components together and being switched by the end component or something like that it was highly technical. I'd say maybe it can only do 3 volts except that the user manual for that one power supply tells me...

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

25V, 820 tiny farads Also, the the user manual says it has 3V, 5V, 12V, 15V and 24V with the in between values obtainable through the range adjustment potentiometer. There has GOT to be a way to get those other voltages. But since it says it has "embeded switch", maybe that means that whatever...

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

And I mean, it's an easy mistake to make and I thought that at first as well. There's probably no way I would have ever known that's what the sentence meant in the manual had I not been able to test it myself

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

lol I aaaaalmost included this paragraph in my initial post: You may notice that potentiometer there. According to the fine print of the user's manual, that potentiometer is 4 adjustments of two to three volts around the voltage setting you're on. In other words, it's set to 3 volts. I have...

Might I trouble you a moment with my power supply, good sirs?

Hello, gents and gentleman! How are ya today?! I found this obsolete power supply. It's small and kind of nice and I really want to use it for its multi voltages. It's a Cosel R50A-3. I found the user's manual and a few other PDFs on it but I can't for the life of me figure out how to get any...

Question concerning increasing voltage for phone auxiliary speaker

You guys are like titans of electrical knowledge and I am but a man gazing up at you in awe. I really appreciate your input. Yes this is seperate from the phone. Its just a little amp and speaker that you can plug into a phone or anything. I haven't measures the max output but I can...

Question concerning increasing voltage for phone auxiliary speaker

My bad, The battery seems to max out at 4.7 volts. It's charged by USB so I know it's cool with 5 volts. I harvested the LED so I'm not sure of it's specs, but it's one of those surface mounted tiny ones. Not the smallest of the surface mounted LEDs but about middle-sized surface mount LED. It...

Question concerning increasing voltage for phone auxiliary speaker

I have taken guts of a speaker that you plug into your phone with an audio cable and replaced the speaker with LEDs so that any signal going into the audio cable causes the LEDs to light up, brighter if loud and dimmer if quiet. Simple. It uses a little 5 volt rechargeable battery. My problem...

    What are these ??

You guys are BETTER than google. Can you imagine? Google had NO idea. Are these antique parts? Is that lamp pre-LEDs? It's odd that I can't google those part numbers. So, here's both sides of that part. It's on the far left. To it's right are similar parts I found with it. Not that the...
