Try to assemble this part of siren circuit. 1. Then connect 10k resitor to ground and observe the sound from your speaker. 2. Then connect to +VCC then observe result sound output 3. then remove 10k and observe sound. .:) R4 value should be 8.2K not 8.2 ohm.

    IC 555

Yes correct. i'm starting to have headache now.:D:D:D
  3. Rleo6965

    IC 555

Yes. Just to inform you. " - " and " + " in comparator was referring as input only not + side supply voltage or - ground side terminal.:)
  4. Rleo6965

    IC 555

I suggest you google for opamp and comparator and this will help you understand.:)
  5. Rleo6965

    IC 555

Yes. wrong label of + - comparator. I hope they correct it.:)

    IC 555

He he he. I hope , I can explain this properly. High signal in Inverting input will result low output signal. So it invert signal. High signal in Non-inverting input will result High output signal. No inversion of signal.:)

This to increase and decrease threshold voltage 2/3 vcc or 8V ( +12V VCC ). If pin 5 control voltage pulled down by 10k resistor. This result higher frequency output of 2nd timer. If control voltage goes higher or 10k resistor was pullup to high voltage. Output of 2nd timer will be at lower...

    IC 555

Referring to above diagram. - and + input terminal was drawn in such a way that input lines will not cross other line for clarity.

    IC 555

I think. It's better for you start building project of NE555 application like controlling alarm etc. Practice or experienced is the best teacher.
  10. Rleo6965

    IC 555

It's now time to use Ohm's Law.:)

    IC 555

Please see NE555 internal circuit diagram. This more accurate. Note Q24 ( pin 3 output ) and Q14 ( Open collector Discharge pin 7 ) both npn and its emitter connected to ground. Both base resistor had same input connection.

    IC 555

Pin 7 and pin 3 always same state. See waveform. Some ne555 circuit interchange Pin 7 and Pin 3 connection. Pin 3 was connected to capacitor and pin 7 was connected as open collector output.

    IC 555

Included in the picture was the input output waveform of NE555 Astable circuit. I hope this will help you interpret waveform that comes with the circuit. This is very important in circuit analysis. Upon applying power to Astable Timer circuit. The capacitor 10pf was discharged or voltage was...

    IC 555

Probably a loose connection on +VCC circuit. If you remember that I mentioned before that upon applying +VCC to the monostable timer circuit. The monostable automatically triggered its output. This can be avoided if you place a circuit in pin 4 Reset Pin that will hold low reset pin 4 at Low...

@vick5821 Nice work. Good idea for the 2nd picture. Placing socket pins for solder less component.:)
  16. Rleo6965

    IC 555

If you accidentally short pin 3 output to ground or +Vcc.

    help with my project

How about ultrasonic sound transmitter and receiver connected to your usb. You have to build your own circuit.

Some people offered help but not waiting for reward. I'm sure (*steve*) was one of them.;) electronoobz, pasalamat ka naman.:D

vick5821, One more advice. Learn Ohm's Law. This will help you a lot in analyzing circuits. Most electronic formula was derived from Ohm's Law.
