Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Either my Internet Explorer is mixed-up or this site is. I had to reload this page about 20 times to make it complete loading. >:(

    Datasheet for 3038 fuction generator

Hi Alun, Maxim have an extremely expensive one that goes up to 20MHz, MAX038. EXAR had theirs but don't make it anymore. I made and have 3 sine-wave generators: 1) A Wien bridge with a calibrated frequency dial and a dual tuning capacitor from an old tube (valve) AM radio. Its output bounces...

    Problems lately accessing this site

Then I pushed the reply button and got another half page of something on this site. I pushed Back on my browser and got back here perfectly and the Type Reply button also worked perfectly. It seems to be very intermittent. :'(

    Datasheet for 3038 fuction generator

Hi Alun, www.datasheetarchive.com call this an obsolete product. Years ago Intersil had some pretty good application notes about this IC. ;D http://www.datasheetarchive.com/semiconductors/download.php?Datasheet=933735

    Problems lately accessing this site

Does anyone else have the same problems here as me? ??? ??? Lately (the past week or two), when I click on a reply notification in e-mail, my IE6 says "Loading Page" forever and nothing or our site's background schematic and only the top part of a page appears on my screen. Sometimes the IE6...

Hey is there anyone has "CMOS Cookbook" written by Donald Lancaster??

It is a great book. I have worn out a few copies of it, and the one I use now needs to be replaced soon. ;D

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

I think it is better to have a mixture of people's ages in a discussion. Since Staigen and I are the same age then maybe we both learned the same mistakes that were corrected later. ;D

    Electronic Stethoscope

Hi Xoy, Again, you have the input of your circuit connected to ground instead of to a signal point in the electronic stethoscope circuit. Your Schmitt trigger circuit is incomplete, because with its resistor values, it will never have a logic low output as explained in the article you posted...

    BJT power supply

Hi Alun, This is a linear regulator so the on resistance of its Mosfet doesn't matter unless it is drawing about 40A or more, but then the poor thingy would melt anyway. I selected the MC34071 because it is the same as the MC33171 that you used except it is faster (10V/us), saturates with a...

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Hi Staigen, Our nice uncle gave my sister and me for our birthday almost the 1st transistor radio ever made. A boss of mine at work gave me almost the 1st scientific calculator ever made, but it was very old when he gave it to me. It had a blue florescent display and was very slow. It took...

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Big, heavy batteries to light toobz? The 1st portable radio I got in about 1957 had real transistors. It was a fairly small AM radio with a tapped 9V battery and a nice leather case. Later I used 2 ordinary 9V batteries in series and it was louder than anyone else had, and didn't smoke or blow...

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Hi Staigen, You are close to the size, it is a little bigger than you remember. It is smaller than I remember and I wish they had its weight.

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Hi Staigen, In the 50's I went high-tech and got myself a geared winder for my rubber powered planes. A few years later when I got into the smokey, noisy planes I used a #6 dry cell to heat their glow plug. Have you seen the size and weight of a #6 dry cell? It could supply so much current it...

    portable DVD battery pack

Aloha Thebeeman, Sony sells a Li-Ion battery for their DVD player for $150.00US. They say it will play for up to 5 hours with an asterisk. I clicked on the asterisk and it said "with the LCD off"! How can anyone watch a movie without seeing anything? Anyway, it is rated at 7.4V/5.1AHr. The Sony...

Sequential Timers with PWM Motor Speed Control

Yesterday I gave the HydroFoam video's link to the local electric model airplane club. They are still laughing about it today. They told me where to stuff the Lawnmover video, they don't like smokey and noisy engines. I need a cheap radio control system. It is windy outside and winter is...
