    help with submersible pump

Bit confusing how one can see smoke coming out of a submerged pump. Guessing the top was above water in which case it might just be the lead. They cop one hell of a hammering where the flex enters the top of the gland. Can't see a main switch tripping unless it is a circuit breaker and earth...

    dim LCD laptop screen

Look up the chip number for the specs, look for what options are available on those pins and it might give some insight. Suspect a bridge though as previously quoted. Photo is out of focus so cannot do here.

Suggest hard to find switch component, please ?

Interesting but never seen any like it. I think it might be one of those things you'll have to make up yourself. ( al-la 3d printer) Definetely would not want to buy the trustfire torch just to rip the switch out. Did you see the price...? WOW some torch Here is a " plastic canopy latch" for rc...

Making a flashing mains indicator LED

I'd say plenty for one of those 12v "keyless remote" batteries with perhaps a small amount of circuit mod. if required. Actually the Op will be lucky if he ever gets it back together again. Ever seen inside one of those things...? Not even an "element" as one would expect.

Kitchenaid Kettle 5KEK1522BCA temperature setting over sensitive

New control. Possibly a potentiometer but I doubt you will buy spares as such, things aren't designed to be repaired these days. Time for a new kettle after 6 years, the element must be just about timeout.

Why cctv camera ahd 720p doesn't work on monitor

There are two different types. PAL and NTSC. Depends which country you are in as to most common type. You need to supply more detail on the camera, monitor dvr what plugs you are using etc. etc.

powering 36 DSLR cameras from a single powersupply

Be aware that running "miles" of low voltage cabling will create the need to calculate any voltage drop and adjust cable size accordingly. Which at 12v can be substantial at times. It can be minimised by connecting the low voltage supply lines in a star configuration. Didn't see any current...

    Isolating electric shower

AS Alec-t says, you have a flow problem which was why I originally said get some new pipes. If you have sufficient pressure for the shower alone, and then it drops when another tap turns on, that's a flow problem, not pressure. Any amount of pumps is not going to cure that. Which means the...

Hard to say with all the white gunk over the original terminations. Your pic shows clearly thew line in but we're not interested in that end.

    Ottlite 18w ballast replacement

At a guess I'd say the two white from the original go to the a-b and the two black to the c-d. A shot of the reverse side s of the boards would perhaps help. What you're after is the two filaments ens, one pair on each end of the tube. Trace out where they went originally and compare to the new...
