Hi AJB2K3,
The green is the power on signal, all the wire colors are explained here: http://www.pcguide.com/ref/power/sup/parts_Motherboard.htm
Just roll down a bit and you find all the connectors, wires and colors. ;D
Hi pratik,
Welcome to this forum.
The thickest wires should be the secondary (24V) winding, but to be sure you can measure the resistance in both windings. The lowest resistance is the secondary (24V) winding.
Looking forward to see those pictures! ;D
You can control a mains powered valve via a small relay, or a triac and an optoisolator.
There are some nice solenoid valves to be scavenged in scraped washing machines and dishwashers .
Hi Alun,
Sorry, I misunderstood because I did not read your question properly. :-[ You can make moving patterns on it just for fun. Or maybe you like to do something more serious with it?
Hi MP,
Thanks for the info.Yes I am familiar with the difference between NTC and PTC resistors they are not very complicated. Here we use the PT-100 & PT-1000 for meteorological purposes not NTC:s. I use contact free measurement up to 100C the SMTIR9901-2 from Smartec. About thermocouples...
Hi Siddharth,
This is completely normal for this kind of DC adaptor. It can be fatal to any low current 12V circuit so be careful when using it for anything other than what it is designed for. Whatever it is designed for can be equipped with a built in regulator and is then safe. There is some...
