    Led display Digital Voltmeter question

Dido, The final discussion was in the feedback area. I will ask mixos to move it over to this one so that they are easier to find. In the mean time, I recommend you look at the posts. I posted a pcb layout in eagle format in that forum. MP

    relay

Most relays that are large enough to carry a load with 220V have a good size current rating on the coil for powering directly off the parallel port. Be sure to use a transistor to switch the relay on and off. MP

    Led display Digital Voltmeter question

Charlie, I am having a problem envisioning what you mean. If your power source and your measured voltage will not interact with each other, the circuit will work. Otherwise, there is a problem. Can you post what you propose for comments? MP

    regulated 12 v dc and 500 mA current o/p

nitindua, what is the source voltage and what is the tolerance of error? Will the circuit be subjected to various temperatures or steady indoor temp? Is this a test for a course? MP

    Led display Digital Voltmeter question

This has been discussed in the original project posting area. You cannot use the voltage you are measuring as the voltage to source this circuit. It must have a stable unchanged voltage as a source. MP

    0-30 Vdc Stabilized Power Supply

Dan, how much current and how much voltage do you need? There might be a simpler and less expensive solution than this power supply for what you need. MP

    solar powered toy car

Hermantajay, Low inertia type motors are usually used in the toy solar car projects. I usually see the 1.5V motors with 3 or 4 small solar cells to power them. There are lots of hobbyists making them and you should be able to find a lot of information in a search on the web. Here is a company...

    Smartkit order

I would suggest to go to the link on their site "distributors" and follow the link or the e-mail for the one closest to you. If that does not give you results, send an inquiry to the other contacts. MP

    Smartkit order

Most kit manufacturers do not care if the schematic is correct. They are furnishing a board in the kit which will work. The only ones who have problems are those who do not buy the kit. See the incentive? MP

    The LM317 Calculator

further to my last post, here I have found some examples from the web using 220 to 240 ohms for R1 from credible sites: Miscellaneous from web: http://www.eidusa.com/Electronics_Kits_0_24_ADJ_Post_Power_Supply_Reg.htm http://www.epanorama.net/documents/components/lm317.html...

    The LM317 Calculator

Audioguru, I see you still have not learned how to accurately read a data sheet. (I have discussed this with you in the past). I even posted a diagram from the data sheet showing the manufacturer's example of what you said could not be done. (Look at the diagram; R1 is 240 ohms) Obviously, it is...

    Led display Digital Voltmeter question

You can use any LED you want. Check the data sheet above that I have attached to my post. The A1, A2, etc pins are the segments. Just follow the pin out of the two different types. Be careful, though. Some LEDs are common cathode and some are common anode. If you choose the opposite type, you...

    The LM317 Calculator

There is nothing wrong with the calculator except as with all calculators, you can plug unlimited numbers into it. There is a warning on the page that tells you this. BTW- You are incorrect about the 240 ohm and 120 ohm resistors. 240 ohm is ok for both LM117 and LM317. The adjustment pin...

    switching circuit

Now there is a confusing 'bit' of information, excuse the pun. What 'bit' will be dropped? LSB or MSB or one in between? Or is this a different kind of technical term? How much voltage is in a bit for you? That would be about 5V on my micros... ;D MP
