Connecting Motor makes circuit go loopy

rpter, This should actually have been posted in the microcontroller area for best responses. Why don't you post your circuit and question there? Just so you know, a PIC cannot source much current. MP

    Digital radar speedometer

ante, Radar is a bit out of my area of knowledge, but it seems like any reflection of the laser would cause you to lose accuracy when the signal bounces back. From the description in the project, it will only be accurate if you are directly in front of the object and it is moving toward you...

    Programmable Dot Matrix Display System

If you just want to line the bits up into a parallel port you can use a microcontroller. In this case, you would strip the additional bit in the program and send the data bits to an 8 bit port. MP

Wired, welcome to the community. Please feel free to ignore audioguru. We had a similar conversation about Darlingtons. Sorry that you are getting so much opposition from your first two posts. I hope it does not give you a bad taste. MP

    Digital radar speedometer

Just a quick look, but it looks like two sets of 7404 setup as oscillators. One is flashing the laser diode and the other is "anded" with the return signal, then this is processed and a calculation is made of the difference. Not much, but hope it helps. MP

There was some discussion of USB in the microprocessor area. It seems to me that you have to pay a licensing fee to develop such hardware. Why not use serial port? MP

audioguru, when you add offensive or insulting comments in your posts I will delete them. I am not going to waste my time editing your posts. As an adult, you should be able to handle this concept. But I have seen that you understand this already, since you always re-post with the offensive...

    0-30 Vdc Stabilized Power Supply

was Re:Ir-remote Now is: Op Amp discussion

None of them are like the IR project. But several are not using a set of resistors biasing the input of a pin with 2 resistors between V+ and GND as you have described is necessary. Also note that none of them are passing a digital 40 KHZ signal. Biasing an op-amp determines the zero crossing of...

    UPS Question..

Can you tell what the charging voltage is? (The regulator cut-off?)You might be ok. If not, you can build a regulator. I would be surprised if this unit did not already have one in it. In this case, you could adjust it if it is not where you want it. MP
